A Touch of Class |
Day 01: Delhi: You are received at International/Domestic Airport, assisted in check out formalities and immediately
transferred to your hotel for rest. Rest of the day at your discretion or at leisure.
Day 02: Delhi: We take a half day sight seeing tour of Old Delhi which includes the Historic Red Fort and Chandni Chowk
among other attractions. After Lunch we take a half day trip to Lutyen’s Delhi with its impressive boulevards, colonial buildings such as the President’s residence and others.
Day 03: Kathmandu: You are received at airport and transferred to hotel. Rest of the day at your discretion.
Day 04: Kathmandu: For the day visit the Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, ancient residential quarters and temples. Then
visit Swayambhunath, a 2500 years old site where it is believed the Radiant Lotus of valley mythology settled when Manjushri,
the God of Wisdom, drained the water. The five Dhyani Buddha attended by their consorts are enshrined at the base of the Stupa.
Also visit the Museum.
Day 05: Kathmandu: Half day excursion to Patan visiting the old Newar city, the historic Durbar square, the Golden Gate,
the sky piercing temple of Teleju and the statue of Yogendra Malla, other temples old carved windows and balconies of wood,
curio shops and bazaars. On return, visit Swayambhunath, the 2500 years old Buddhist temple.
Day 06: Pokhara: In morning we drive to Pokhara. At Pokhara you are free to relax.
Day 07: Pokhara: Half day sightseeing of the valley visiting the Mahendra Pool to view Seti River Gorge, the Bindesbasani
Bhagwaiti Temple and the old Pokhara city. Also visit the Tibetan refugee camp to watch the carpet weaving. Walk down to the
David Falls to hear the sounds of a mythical river believed to be flowing underground. Afternoon spend in self-exploration.
Day 08: Kathmandu: For Kathmandu, we move from Pokhara in morning and reach by evening. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 09: Varanasi: You will be transferred to Varanasi by flight. Arrive and check in at hotel. After lunch we visit
Bharat Mata Temple with a big relief map of India in marble, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Banaras Hindu University, which
has an Art Gallery and the Mosque of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.
Day 10: Varanasi: Early morning boat excursion on the holy river Ganges to see the Bathing Ghats and Cremation site.
Watching people bathing and worshipping at the Ghats is one of the most extraordinary experiences of a visit to India. After
break fast we drive to Sarnath, the buried Buddhist city where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Sarnath was a renowned school
of learning from the 6th century BC to the 12th century AD. We visit there ruins, the Stupa, Buddhist temple and Museum. Evening
at leisure.
Day 11: Khajuraho: Board the flight for Khajuraho. On arrival you are transferred to hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 12: Agra: For the day we visit its world famous temples, which were built by the Chandela kings between 250 AD and
1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunsat Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji
Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishwanath and Nandi temples, Lakshamana Temple, Visha Temple dedicated to Shiva,
which is the largest and most typical of temples. In evening board the flight to Agra. At Agra you are immediately transferred to
hotel for rest. In the evening, we witness the SON-ET-LUMIERE, a dramatic inter-play of sound and light effects, recreating the
history of Red Fort, a symbol of Mughal power.
Day 13: Agra: We take half-day sight seeing tour followed by morning leisure. We visit Taj, Fort and other monuments in
our half-day schedule. We again visit the world famous Taj Mahal by moonlight which is an altogether different experience. Bathed
in moonlight, it throbs with a life of its own.
Day 14: Jaipur: After breakfast we proceed to the Pink City. Arrival and check in at hotel. After lunch we drive out to
explore the immaculately planned city of Sawai Jai Singh II still alive with Colour, Joy, Regality, People, Art and Culture. We
visit busy Bazaars, Hawamahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar. For the evening a spectacular folk dance and music with traditional
Rajasthani dinner in a typical rural setting. Over night at hotel.
Day 15: Jaipur: For the day we make an excursion to Samode Palace- a Palace situated in rustic surroundings, for half of
the day. We also have lunch there at Samode Palace. Rest of the day at leisure. In the evening we return back to Jaipur. In
evening, we drive up to Nahargarh fort and take a breathtaking view of sprawling Pink City getting red at sunset. Overnight
at Jaipur.
Day 16: Jaipur: We start in the early morning for the spiritual tour of old Jaipur city and have glimpses of some unseen
facets of the city, which other wise remain hidden in the hustle & bustle of the day time. This also includes a visit to the
patron deity of Jaipur - Sri Govind Devji. After lunch we visit Amber, which is the old capital of Jaipur. We climb up the fort
on elephant back befitting the style of a Maharaja. After seeing the beautiful fort, Jagat Shiromani temple and the Jalmahal we
return back to hotel.
Day 17: Udaipur: You are received at Airport and transferred to the Hotel. We start with most romantic sight seeing in a
boat on Lake Pichhola with the most beautiful palaces all around and the most handsome sunset behind.
Day 18: Udaipur: For the whole day we explore this picturesque town, its amazing palaces, gardens and fountains.
Day 19: Goa: After break fast we proceed to Goa. Arrive and check in hotel. For the day you are free to relax.
Day 20: Goa: We start our half-day sightseeing tour from the slopes of Altinho Hill for a breathtaking view of Panjim and
river Mandovi. Then to Dona-Paula for a view of India's largest natural harbour - Mormugao. Afterwards we move to Old Goa to see
Basillica of Bom Jesus wherein is enshrined the body of St. Francis Xavier in a silver ornate casket. We continue to Se.
Cathedral- the biggest church in the East, St. Cajetan- built like St. Peter (Rome), church of Our Lady Rosary and St. Monica.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 21: Goa: For the day we take a tour of beaches beginning with the Queen of Goa's beaches Calangute - a long stretch of
clean sand of about 7 Km. then to Baga Beach famous for palm sands. Visit to the Mapusa Market noted for its weekly Friday Bazaar
where people from all over Goa buy and sell goods. Then proceed to Vagator Beach known as "The King of the beaches" due
to its majestic out-looks. On one side is the Chapora port and other side coconut trees dancing with the waves. Overnight at hotel.
Day 22: Goa: Day at leisure.
Day 23: Goa: Full day excursion to the imposing lush green Western Ghats and the Palolem Beach in deep south which is one
of the most enchanting beaches of Goa. Relatively less frequented it is the ideal locale for tourists seeking a close tie with
nature and privacy.
Day 24: Goa: Day at leisure.
Day 25: Mumbai: From Goa board the flight for Mumbai. Day will be kept free at your discretion till the time of your
departing flight. You’ll be transferred to the Airport for onward flight. (The Tour Ends.) |
