The town of Alsisar lies in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Named after Rao Shekhaji, a grandson of Maharaja Udaikaran of Amer, this region is famous for its painted Havelis and picturesque desert
landscape. Rao Shekhaji and his descendents captured this region and established their rule here. The region of Shekhawati was controlled by a loose confederation of states who were allied to the
rulers of Amer. The Thakur of Alsisar was an important part of this power structure.
Alsisar Mahal, a battle hardened fort, was the residence of the Thakur of Alsisar, an important noble in the court of Amer. Located on an ancient trade route, Alsisar Mahal was an important power
center and witnessed many bloody battles. Even today the thrilling tales of valour, intrigue, and sacrifice echo in the old walls of Alsisar Mahal.
Now converted into a Heritage Hotel, Alsisar Mahal opens doorways to a unique experience of the Shekhawati region by bringing back to life the grandeur of the old days. The fort has been lovingly
